The Global Village
What if the world was reduced to the size of a SMALL VILLAGE where you could see all the people looking for JOBS, FOOD, and ENTERTAINMENT getting SICK, going TO JAIL or even DYING and what if you were one of those people and your ability to survive was based on the amount of POWER and MONEY you were randomly given? What would you DO? What would happen in that village? These questions are answered when you play the the EPIC, MIND-BLOWING, UNFORGETTABLE
Each player in the game assumes a new identity with a name, country, life situation, health status and level of power. When the round begins, village citizens work on these 4 goals: 1. Stay alive - Citizens can "die" in the game. If this happens, citizens go to the government office and get a new identity after writing a short reflection on their life. 2. Improve your life - Get a job and make money. Stay healthy or improve your health. 3. Reward yourself - Enjoy the entertainment and pleasures of the village. 4. Look out for another - Think beyond your own needs to the needs of the village.
Citizens with poor health are sent to the hospital for assessment and treatment. Citizens breaking village law are sent to jail. At any time, a citizen can receive a random "chance" event with a positive or negative consequence. Rounds may include events such as a protest, an outbreak, an election, a conflict or a depression. The Global Village game works best with groups of 30 to 100+ people. Plans can be adapted to suit rooms ranging from a large classroom to a gymnasium to an outdoor area. The game comes to life through The village characters: police, government, protesters, mafia, doctors, store managers, musicians, actors, farmers, scientists, teachers, and more.
